Step 1: Unbox and Power Your Setek Extender

Let’s start with the basics. You have to unbox your Setek extender and place it in a wall socket somewhere in between of your TP-Link router and the area with weak signal. It should not be plugged too far from the router otherwise it will not catch signals properly.

Tip: Find a place with at least 3 signal bars from your main WiFi.

Default credentials:

• Username: admin
• Password: admin

You will enter the Setek setup page. Here, select the Repeater Mode or Range Extender Mode (depends on model).

Next, it will detect for the nearby available networks. You should observe your TP-Link AX1800 (AX21) WiFi network name show up. Select it.

Enter your TP-Link router’s WiFi password when asked.

Step 4: Select Name for Your Extended Network

Once it connects, you will be prompted to give a name to the extended network. You can either:

• Keep the same name (SSID) as your main WiFi.
• Add _EXT to the end for easy recognition (e.g., HomeWiFi_EXT).

Click Apply or Save then wait. The extender will reboot and the lights will blink.

Step 5: Reposition the Extender (If Needed)

Once the setup is complete make sure to remove the plug of an extender and place it in between of your main router and the area with weak wifi signal.
